The first book I read of yours was your first Blood Ties book back when it first came out. I then went back and found The Firestone and the others. Needless to say, I've been hooked ever since. ;)

And suddenly I feel the need to use this icon now.

This was me as well. Blood Ties opened the door to the rest of your work.

Also, icon love!

Now, of course, the question to ask Kyle and Dylan is "ok, if you could take your love/wife/etc with you, would you vampire yourself?"

As one of those people on that perpetual search for something decent at the time (now it's more... sifting than searching), I must register my gratitude for your financial planning acumen.

And of course, some fifteen years down the line, I finally noticed that there was Tanya on LJ, and lo, she was MADE OF AWESOME. Now that's a bonus.

There's a GeeksOn podcast where David Brin talks about how Vampire fiction tends to do better in one type of government and zombie fiction does better under another type of government. Also - it's just a fun podcast to listen to overall. :)
