Ch...ch...ch... changes!
So, y'all remember the created world fantasy I was working on that wasn't to be called the Napoleonic werewolf book because that would just confuse people who'd then expect an alternative earth which this wasn't, only the tech level being Napoleonic?
Do you remember how when I sold that book I also sold a sequel to THE ENCHANTMENT EMPORIUM (Charlie's story) at the same time? I did tell you about that right? I mean, I could go back and look but I'm pretty sure I told you.
"Not the Napoleonic werewolf" book was supposed to come out in 2011 (2010 book is TRUTH OF VALOR) and Charlie's story was supposed to come out in 2012.
Well, yesterday, I got a call from my agent and he said that given how well THE ENCHANTMENT EMPORIUM was doing and given how much readers seemed to love it, it might be an idea not to make them wait another year for another book. Given that I already had another book available and all. For certain variable definitions of "available" meaning it's there in my head.
And my editor agreed with him. In fact, my editor added the phrase "she'd be thrilled" to the discussion of flipping the two.
So, in conclusion... I am NOW writing Charlie's story to come out in 2011 (no firm idea of the month yet, depends on how fast I move, fall definitely) and "not the Napoleonic werewolf" book will be 2012.
