Where the writing things are.

So it occured to me that I may not have mentioned here in lj land what I'm currently working on.  Or I might have.  So, if I have, ignore this post, go about your life, don't smoke 'em if you've got 'em because it's a filthy habit I'd rather not encourage.

You may remember that I'd said next up was the Napoleonic werewolves -- which are Napolenoic only because of tech level not actual politics because it's a created world.   With werewolves.  And magic.

Well, that's not happening.  See, I also had an idea for another Torin Kerr book and given these are unsteady economic times, if I'm asking someone to pay (hang on, I have no idea what I currently cost; I need to find an Emporium.)  $24.95 US or $31 Cdn for a hardcover this might not be the time to get weird and experimental.  (for certain values of weird and experimental which take into account I'm not exactly a literary envelope pusher)   When that's your entire book budget for the month, you'd probably rather spend it on something you're a little more confident you're going to like.

So,  currently, I'm working on that fifth Torin Kerr book.   It picks up a month or so after the end of VALOR'S TRIAL and I'm calling it TORIN AND THE PIRATES although both my editor and my agent want me thinking about an actual title.  Can't think why.  *g*  So far, I'm distinctly short of characters saying  "Arrrrrrgh matey!"  Should probably do something about that....

It will likely not be out next spring considering I won't be handing it in until late fall.   I suspect, it'll be a fall of 2010 book.

And THEN the Napoleonic werewolves.  Probably.
