So, Paul posted this in comments (I checked, it really was him) and now I'm (finally -- sorry got buried in the new book) reposting it here so it reaches a wider audience

I'm having trouble tracking down the source of the statement "All communications not sent via postcard will not be read," but it seems to have come from the same place as the address when that info was being crossposted a while back. Not sure how accurate it is, but better safe than sorry and all that.
Presumably it applies only to snail mail, since the website specifically provides a feedback form.
I think it's their way of trying to keep a handle on the correspondence. Postcards being much faster to read than letters -- which have to be opened and the envelope has to be recycled and yadda -- and less easy to spam than email.
Umm, I just mailed 2 letters (not post cards) to Lifetime. Where in Paul's email does it say to send a POST CARD?! ARRGHHHHH---and this is the first time I have ever sent anything to any entertainment company..dang

It doesn't say it in his message. It was in the cross-post to various fannish news outlets a couple months ago, along with the mailing address and the URL for the comment form on the Lifetime website.
I don't really know where it came from; it just looked like it was copied and pasted from the same place as the address. Hence "better safe than sorry."
Even if it's accurate, I can't imagine that they won't count letters, even if they don't actually read them for practicality reasons. So don't sweat it. :-)
"This letter is being written to express my gratitude to you for the brilliant show Blood Ties. I cannot wait for you to air the second half of the first season, and fervently hope you will commit to future seasons.
"As far as I am concerned, this show and the new Dr. Who are the two best television shows in years. Blood Ties is the only show I make a point of staying home for. I’ve rescheduled dinner dates, because I don’t want to have to wait any extra time for Blood Ties.
"This kind of high quality program, thoughtfully cast and brilliantly written, with complex characters and a wry sense of humor is sadly lacking on most channels, and is making me a loyal Lifetime viewer."
That's all I wanted to say, really. It's killing me that we won't be seeing that episode in the States for TWO WHOLE YEARS. (Unless we're willing to download them from Brit uploads...)
Well, the show was still under CHUM jurisdiction when they let us show it at Polaris but you know, EVERYONE's all confused about who owns what in that building now. *g*

Blood Ties is showing on the CityTV website (http://www.citytv.com/toronto/default.aspx) so I expect if you use their form it'll eventually get to the right person.
