well, I made past the Seattle Cascades auditions and I'm going to the december camp in vancover (actually its in brush prarie, but its close enough). Now I have the enormous task of proving to the staff that I can keep up with the demands of drum corps, and do it better than every one else. There were actually very few vets returning this season. There's only one vet mello that I know of, and that's Ila. There's a lot of rookies, though. There's well over 100 trying out for a hornline of 72.
It felt so good to march again during the visual audition. I hadn't set foot on a field in well over a year, much less marched (parades don't count). It was my first time to really jazz run, other than what I did with dylan when we were bored. lol
The musical audition was a lot less intense than I first thought it would be. Of course the staff still have the december camp to decide if I'm good enough. *knees shake* I did fairly well, though. Very well if you consider that I got my horn two nights before :O
Well, I gotta go practice now.
