Hello,

Your name has been referred to me concerning Dress & Grooming Standards. Since this is a component of the Honor Code and our office oversees this area, may I please remind you that wearing clothing that reveals your body due to its length or sheerness and wearing multiple earrings are both inappropriate on the campus of BYU-Idaho. We appreciate the good efforts of all students to keep their commitment to the Honor Code. If you have any questions regarding this reminder, please let me know. I have included the standard for your information and review.

Women

A clean and well-cared for appearance should be maintained. Clothing is inappropriate when it is sleeveless, strapless, backless, or revealing; has slits above the knee, or is formfitting. Dresses and skirts must be knee length or longer. Hairstyles should be clean and neat, avoiding extreme styles and colors. Excessive ear piercing (more than one per ear) and all other body piercing is unacceptable. Shoes should be worn in all public campus areas. Bib overalls, caps, long johns or underwear styles; patched, faded, frayed, torn, or tight formfitting clothing; shorts of any length above the ankle, vulgar words or pictures, sweat suits or P.E. type clothing, and plastic or rubber flip-flops are inappropriate campus attire.
