am i just crazy

i wish i were a better artist.
i really wish i could capture
things in a drawing or a painting
or a photograph or even simply
in writing

i want to travel the world
i wanna SEE everything
i wanna DO everything
and i want to remember
every moment of it

but then again
i guess it really doesnt matter
im not famous [don't ever want to be famous]
im not inherently rich
and im not smart or talented enough
to become rich.
so i'll never come close.

i'll finish college [if i ignore this very mentality
im venting about for the next 3 years]
get a job that has nothing to do with my major
or anything i find enjoyable.
and live out the rest of my life
the way i always hoped i wouldnt.

im not ready to be an adult.
but i feel like im running out of time.
everything feels like a pressure to be
something im not.
or at least something im not yet.

i just want to be a kid
