(no subject)
Life sucks.
So here's my life since Saturday:
~Saturday, I'm supposed to take the bus to Mountain View so I can go to the Bridge School Concert, but the Santa Cruz bus system decides to suck and have all its buses delayed. So, I miss my bus that goes to Mountain View.
~While frustrated with the bus system, I manage to lose my cell phone.
~I had my first paper due Wednesday. I turned it in. Today, I realized I forgot to staple the last page.
~I try to stay calm and decide to do some reading. I go get my pencil case to get my highlighter. Instead, I realize I left it in my lecture hall yesterday and I lost my pencil holder, which was a gift.
~Today, out of the blue, my cousin Will calls. It took me a second to figure out who he was even when he said, "Hey, this is your cousin Will." All I could think was Who the fuck is Will? His English was too good to be a Korean relative who decided to call himself Will now but yet he still had that accent of I-speak-perfect-English-but-have-a-hardly-noticable accent.
But I played along pretending I knew him. I totally clicked when he said, "You know how Korean moms are." And then I realized it's my half-Korean cousin William! I've never called him Will in my life so I didn't recognize him. Plus I saw him once when I was in 8th grade, and before that I knew him in my age 3-6 years. So I couldn't excactly go by his voice to figure out who he was. And that tinge of an accent is because he grew up speaking English all his childhood in Korea as an military brat. And he doesn't even speak korean. :P
Anyway, it was totally out of the blue. He's stationed in San Diego now (he's in the Marine Corps) and thought we were close enough to visit each other. (Obviously we're not). Instead, we catch up on what we're doing and then my room phone cuts us off and dies. I don't even have his number to call him back, no less a working phone.
The result? I've now lost my mind.
