summary: Kendall wanted some good luck... or so Logan thought.
Logan yawned as he walked into the kitchen of apartment 2J. Scratching his head, he reached into a cabinet to get some cereal and started pouring it into a bowl.
The bathroom door opened, revealing James combing gel through his hair. "Morning, Tiger. Rough night?" He eyed Logan as he fluffed his hair.
"Haha" Logan articulated sarcastically, Although, he couldn't argue with James. Looking himself down, he saw his Good Luck Patrol uniform. One pant leg pushed up, pants unbuttoned, shirt half untucked, tie over his shoulder, totally wrinkled shirt. And he was sure his hair was going every direction. "Where is everybody?" He observed the mostly empty apartment.
"I don't know," James said, walking to the fridge and opening a water bottle. "But I think a better question would be what the hell happened to you?"
Logan chewed his cereal and his eyes squinted. "Kendall." He stated bitterly.
James breathed out a small laugh. "Finally."
Logan shook his head questioningly "What?"
James' eyes widened. "Um, Nothing, nothing. So... How is this Kendall's fault?"
Logan rolled his eyes "He's making me follow him around in this stupid suit for good luck."
"Dude, I thought you were the smart one."
"Huh?"
James sipped his water and put it down, smiling brilliantly. "Do you really think Kendall makes you wear that outfit just for good luck?" He eyed Logan and his suit suspiciously.
Logan felt a bit like he was backed into a corner. He started stuttering "Well, yeah. I mean he said himself we were good luck." He looked at James blankly. "Why else would he ask me to wear this?"
James looked at his shorter bandmate sympathetically. "Kendall has a suit fetish."
Logan looked horrified.
James grabbed a towel and a pool noodle out of nowhere. "Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to the pool." He patted Logan on the shoulder and disappeared into the hallway.
******
"Clothing fetish" Logan muttered as he typed his search into Google in the Palm Woods lobby and hit enter. He sat back, but not too far, being careful no one could look over his shoulder at his laptop.
"Hey Logan!"
"Ah!" Logan Jumped and slammed his laptop shut. He snapped his head around. "Carlos! What the heck are you doing?"
"Dude, relax. I just wanted to see if you wanted to hang by the pool." Carlos looked a bit disappointed
"Ugh..." Logan rubbed his eyes. "Sorry. I'm just a bit on edge about something James said to me this morning."
Carlos sat down in the chair next to Logan's. "What did he say?"
Logan leaned in close and shifted his eyes around. "Promise to keep quiet about it?"
Carlos leaned in too and nodded eagerly.
"Okay. James thinks Kendall has a suit fetish and that's why he makes me wear that Good Luck Patrol outfit."
Carlos almost laughed himself to tears.
"It's not funny, okay?" Logan whispered harshly. "This is serious."
"Okay, Logan. It's serious." Carlos chuckled "But, I don't think it's a fetish. He does definitely have a thing for you in that outfit, though. Personally, I thought it was the sunglasses."
"A sunglasses fetish?"
"No, a Logan fetish. He has a thing for you and he likes you in a tie. It's just normal Kendall."
"Oh, totally." Logan smiled bitingly. "It's COMPLETELY normal for guys to make their best friends wear suits!"
He looked out the doors at Kendall talking to Jo by the pool. He was wearing his swim trunks and a towel over his shoulders. Kendall had a girlfriend. There was no way he had a thing for Logan, right? Every possibility whirred through Logan's head. What if it was true? Would he have to turn him down? Or could he get used to the idea? Kendall briefly looked up and caught Logan's eye. He smiled, but before Logan could smile back, a flick on his head snapped him out of his thoughts.
"Ow, what was that for?" Logan turned to the source: 10-year-old Katie Knight.
"My brother's crushing on you." She said bluntly.
He sighed exasperatedly. "Since when?" He asked, trying to sound less annoyed at the little girl.
"Um, since around the time his voice changed." Carlos added as if it were obvious.
Katie nodded. "And lately, he's getting pretty desperate." She pointed at her brother, who was looking over at Logan. She crossed her arms and shook her head. "It's pathetic."
Logan gave her a confused glance.
"Logan!" The three of them turned to look at Kendall who was now walking into the lobby. "I just wanted to thank you for all the good luck yesterday. I'm going out with Jo tonight." Logan noticed he didn't look as happy about that as he sounded. "So make sure mom doesn't worry." The last bit was said while he was being dragged away by his girlfriend, and Logan felt himself involuntarily grit his teeth.
"We need to do something about this. You guys in?" Katie asked, extending her downturned hand into the middle of their circle.
Carlos lit up "Definitely! We definitely need to help him out. What, with everything he does for us? Heck yeah." He put his hand in.
Logan stared at the doors for a few extra seconds. He knew they were waiting for an answer. "Okay." He said, putting his hand in. "Let's do it."
