I started watching because it was on "on demand" (I don't know what cable is like where you are, but this one kind here has shows that you watch whenever you want, kind of like a movie, and they show a bunch of animes with a new ep. each week. It's called "on demand") but then I moved, so now I don't have that kind of cable. I found the first dvd the day before I moved used at a record store, so I bought it, then my husband bought the second one for me as an "I'm sorry" present because he upset me. So long story short (yeah right!) I have seen up to episode 9. I really like it because it seems really cute and happy and superficial, but underneath it has a more meaningful storyline. Plus, I can never resist a good fairytale! *loves Disney and hans christian anderson/grimm bros.*
I love Duck, she is so cute and happy. But I also like Rue (as Princess Kraehe) because in a way, she is trying to defend herself and simply does it in a bad way. (i.e. being evil) :P
I am wondering if it has kind of an "Utena" ending, where characters you love, you find out are horrible, and characters you think are bad turn out to have good intentions. I would be happy with just a cute, simple ending, though. Not everything that seems happy has to have a dark motive behind it.
