I feel so old
I'm 19 now. My birthday was Friday. My Dad came up (Mom was sick) and celebrated with me. He took me and a friend out to dinner to a really nice place and then we hung out some on Saturday before he went home. Sam and Bill came up to celebrate from LA Tech. That was the best part of my birthday. My mom called me at midnight and wished me happy birthday. A few friends decorated my door. Confetti is now everywhere including my bed and down the stairs and my room isn't even by the stairs haha. I got a birthday sign and a birthday crown for my birthday. I was "Birthday Princess Katie Tebo" which made me feel special. So many people told me happy birthday and I got some presents from friends. My parents surprised me with a cake through the Millsaps parent council and they surprised me with flowers too. I always open my presents with at least my parents around but this year I opened them by myself in my dorm room. I was kinda sad but I was talking to my mom through part of it so it wasn't totally sad. There is so much more to say but I will stop now. It was a great birthday! Thanks to everyone who made it special.
Last night I went to the President's house for dinner as part of the Leadership Scholarship program I am in. I find it amazing that not only does the President know me by name and a few things about me, but that I got to eat dinner at her house. It was kinda fun. How many people know the President of their college AND the President know them? Very few. And some of the top deans know my name too. I love it at Millsaps.
Obviously it was a hectic weekend. I got 10 hours of sleep combined from Friday and Saturday night. On Sunday I decided not to do work until night so I ended up going to bed at 12:15. Then Franklin dorm was woken up at 2:40 AM with a fire alarm. We had to go outside for 20 minutes. We thought someone pulled it because no one but the people in Franklin were outside. As soon as I got back in bed, it went off again. We had to go back outside. I'm pretty positive it was an eletrical problem. We got to go back to bed at 3:30. What a night! I'm taking a nap after my next class.
Things have been hectic lately and school has become stressful. It's still fun just really time consuming and a lot of work. That's college for ya. Fall break starts the 20th so I will be home next Friday night. Yay!

P.S. I hate high school drama....especially in college.
