In recent news...
I think it's pretty fair to say that I am running around like a chicken with its head cut off. I need a break but I leave on Saturday. I have been so busy, it's unbelievable! I'm trying to make time for friends, pack, go out with mom to get stuff, run errands, it's making me insane. I don't mean to procrasinate, but I always do and then I get stressed. Will I ever learn?!
Summer is boring. I mean 15.5 weeks of summer can get a little bit much. I think I am ready to start school. I move in Sunday and start classes on Tuesday. I already met some new friends so I'm happy. There is a luau for us Sunday night. I can understand cow-tipping in Mississippi, but a luau? We'll see how that goes.
Other random bits of news:
-I met my first cousin once removed this weekend. She is 64 and very cool.
-One of my friend is pregnant and I just found out a couple weeks ago. I'm excited but she is so young that I am scared. I will be Aunt Katie in January. Are congrats in order?
-The only thing to do in Baton Rouge is go out to eat so whenever someone leaves for college, we all go out to eat. It's getting expensive and I'm getting fatter.
-Most of my friends left already and there are only a few of us left and some of those work. I love hanging out with the friends who are here but I miss my other friends a lot. Hell, I almost cried talking to my best friend on the phone tonight b/c I miss her so much.
-I keep saying that I'm going out of state but it just became surreal and hit me when I read it on a convo with a friend when she said, "...you're going out of state..."
-I'm excited but kinda scared at the same time. Will I do okay?!?!
Well, I need to get back to packing. I have so many clothes on my bed that if I don't do something with them tonight, I will sleeping with the dog on her bed. Goodnight!
