Approaching Oregon...
Wow, does it feel good to be back on the West Coast. Portland is a wonderful city--it feels very young and relaxed. I am still not 'done' with everything--but I am on my to the Fair anyway--taking some school work and some work-work with me.
My nephew Otto gets up on a Sunday morning and rides the Belmont Stakes--with full voiceover narration--on a hobby horse, with a fire helmet in lieu of proper jockey gear, and wearing frog pajamas. I, too, want to be be seven years old:
Spent last night in a tent in the backyard in Denver, with two seven year boys in my bed, reading TinTin (the Pirate Red Rackham and the Voyage of the Unicorn and Capt Haddock --sheer slapstick story narration) and watching Danny Kaye clips on YouTube---The Court Jester

Tonight--I will sleep at the Country Fair--I have no tent or sleeping bag, but it will be good to be there. There is more to say, but maybe later....Happy Summer
