Not in any specific order, just fantastic by my standards.
Regina Spektor-Fidelity
This video was quite interesting given the black-and-white world that the singer puts herself into, the mannequin she treats as a human, and that point in which her white heart necklace breaks on the floor, spilling color everywhere. The mannequin becomes a guy, hilarity ensues...it's just wholesome.
Maroon 5-Wake Up Call
An entire movie in nearly four minutes. Nothing like seeing a man go falsetto and then shoot a guy. Explosions, baseball bats, helicopters. What's not to love?
Finger Eleven-Paralyzer
I think this says a lot on a social commentary level. The man and woman want to be together, but there's often more in play, people keeping these two from being together.
The Strokes-Juicebox
This says a lot...not only are the camera angles excellent, but the transitions and the intensity of the scenes really says a lot about what's acceptable these days. I must say I'm impressed by the overt sexual content in this video. Kudos.
My Chemical Romance-The Ghost of You
This was my "I hate the song but the video made me love it" pick. Incredible...just...there's nothing else to say. Just totally incredible.
If I were to direct a music video, which one would it be....
Definitely a better version of Steady as She Goes by the Raconteurs.
Also considering compiling an AMV for Vertigo Motel by Dog Fashion Disco, but that's another story...
