"I am not taking a wheelchair home," Yesung said flatly, arms folded over his chest, at least as much as possible. He sat in his hospital bed, the head of it raised behind him, glaring at EunHyuk and DongHae, the only two that had come this time. EunHyuk sat in the comfortable chair (he'd gotten there first, and DongHae's pout hadn't moved him), and DongHae perched on the arm of it.

"How do you plan on getting around?" EunHyuk asked, arms folded exactly the way Yesung wanted his folded. "You can't count on us to be there all the time, hyung. We can't be. You can't walk on this yet," he tapped the cast on Yesung's leg, "and crutches will be impossible until this is healed." He tapped the cast on his arm.

Yesung frowned at him. "By the time my arm is healed, I'll be able to walk," he grumbled.

"Yes," EunHyuk said. "Which is why you need a wheelchair."

Yesung's frown became a scowl, and DongHae smiled innocently over EunHyuk's shoulder. "It won't be for that long, hyung," he added his contribution.

"You're far too cheerful about this," Yesung muttered. "I hope you don't think you'll get to ride in it."

Both of them pouted at him, and he barked a laugh. "That's why you're fighting so hard for me to get this thing?" he asked.

DongHae looked away, but EunHyuk grinned. "It's not the only reason. It's just a bonus. Because you do need it, hyung. The doctor said so."

Yesung had heard that and tried to block out. He sighed, and DongHae grinned again. "No, you can't ride in it," Yesung repeated, and DongHae pouted.

"That's not fair, hyung," EunHyuk protested.

"It is too," Yesung stated.

EunHyuk sighed. "So, what's her name?"

Thrown by the change in topic, Yesung opened his mouth to answer, and closed it just in time. "Whose name?"

"Don't give me that! We snuck her in for you, it's only fair you tell us her name," DongHae said. "It was her with the orange lipstick, right?" he added before EunHyuk could ask.

EunHyuk smacked him. "One thing at a time," he said, and looked at Yesung. "What's her name?"

Yesung sighed. "You didn't ask HeeChul-hyung or Hankyung-hyung?" he said, leaning back. These two tired him out on normal days. Today was anything but normal.

"They wouldn't tell us," DongHae said, and pouted again.

"They said to ask you," EunHyuk explained. "So we're asking you. What's her name?"

Yesung closed his eyes. "It doesn't matter," he said softly.

The stunned silence made him open his eyes again. "It doesn't matter?" DongHae asked, sounding more stunned than indignant. "Why would you say that?"

"Because it doesn't," Yesung said. "We're not dating anymore." He looked away from them, not wanting to see the surprise on their faces. It really wasn't their business anyway.

"You're not dating, but she still came to see you? Who called it off?" EunHyuk asked, sounding oddly... mature.

"That doesn't matter either," Yesung muttered, and closed his eyes again.

After a long time, DongHae asked softly, "Does anything matter?"

Yesung sighed. "I'll get back to you on that," he said.

He could see the two exchange looks even with his eyes closed; they'd done it enough in his presence. Then one touched his shoulder, the other his arm, and they let themselves out.

Yesung sighed in relief, finally alone, and let himself drift off to sleep.

Getting home proved as tiring as anything he'd done, and he waved them all off at the door. "I am going to sleep," he said flatly.

"You are giving us one of your keys," HeeChul said, just as flatly.

Yesung stared at him. "Why would I do that?" he asked.

"In case you need someone and can't get to the door," Hankyung said, leaning against the door to keep it open. He looked casual, only... not quite. Yesung couldn't put a finger on in, but he looked and acted casual, but for the tension in the air.

"You won't win this one, Yesungie," HeeChul said gently. "Save yourself the effort."

Yesung stared at him, then sighed and turned his chair (motorized, thankfully) to drive it into the kitchen. He dug around for the spare key he knew he had, and finally came up with it. He turned around and dropped it into HeeChul's hand. "I want it back," he said, looking up at him. "Don't make me change my lock."

HeeChul contrived to look innocent, and Yesung snorted. "Would I do that?" he asked, and turned to go. "Sleep well," he tossed over his shoulder as he left.

"Be careful, Yesungie," Hankyung said, locked the door, and then pulled it shut as he followed HeeChul.

Yesung sighed in relief. He drove the wheelchair into his bedroom, managed to get onto the bed, and fell asleep.

The phone rang, waking Yesung, and he reached to the bedside table, awkwardly. It rang again, in a completely different place - oh, right, his pocket, he'd forgotten to take it out - and he dug it out. "Hello?"

"Yesung?"

He tried to clear his mind. "Narsha?"

"Hey. Is everything okay?"

He would have rubbed his eyes if he'd had a free hand. "Yeah. So far."

"Did I wake you up?"

"Yes. But I don't mind."

"I'm sorry. HeeChul said they brought you home."

"Yeah, finally. Although he insisted on taking my extra key, so I don't think I'll get any more peace."

She laughed, and he smiled. He'd forgotten how much he loved her laugh. "Why did he do that?"

"Something about emergencies. Like I'm going to move around much for the next couple of weeks."

"You don't have to move around much for there to be an emergency," she said, but he could hear her smile in her words.

"I think he just wants to bug me. He's acting odd."

"Odd?"

"Yeah. He's a very jealous man, and he never liked that Hankyung and I were friends."

Narsha laughed. "So all this... care is odd."

"Yes. Considering he really doesn't like me." He laughed. "But whatever. How are you?"

"Busy. I'm going to start a solo project soon, and I forgot how much work it takes to start from scratch."

"You are?" Yesung asked, and smiled. "Good luck!"

"Thank you." He could hear something going on over the phone, and waited it out. "I'll talk to you later - Miryo's insisting I eat."

"Yes, go eat," Yesung agreed. "No losing those luscious curves."

She laughed again. "Okay. I promise. Get well soon."

"Thanks. Good bye."

He hung up and dropped the phone to the bed with a groan. "Did I actually say that?"

Thankfully no one answered.
