DongHae knew people thought he was an airhead. In fact, he knew he was one. It didn't bother him, though. It usually meant he could get his way - and play practical jokes without getting caught.
Well, maybe not so much anymore, but he still tried.
Practical jokes require observation, so he noticed things like the growing friendship between JongWoon and SungMin. How KyuHyun tried to act as a buffer between Henry and Mi and the fans. Geng still performed with them, but DongHae noticed a distance between him and the rest of them, especially when M spent time together.
The one that broke his heart, sometimes, was YoungWoon. He'd join them when they came home, on the periphery but hovering, as if trying to share in the warmth. Jungsu would hug him, and JongWoon would bump his shoulder on his way past, but it didn't really help.
YoungWoon looked, most of the time, like he felt left out in the cold.
