Keigo,
I didn’t know you could play like that. It literally took my breath away, it was so beautiful. Thank you for sharing it with me.
I guess I don’t understand why your father won’t let you do more with that. I grew up so differently.
So far, the only college that’s accepted me is here in Tokyo - I guess I’m about as average as they come. Part of the problem, like we talked about, is that I really don’t know what I want to be. I doubt I’d make a good professor of Japanese History - can you imagine seeing me teach? But I don’t know what else to do. That is just about all that interests me.
I heard you got offers from a few other schools - have you decided where you’ll attend yet? Or is it only my parents that seem over-eager to get me out of the house.
It was good to see you for at least a little before you left for Christmas, and thank you for the postcard. You sounded incredibly busy - what’s the point of a vacation if you can’t relax? Jirou said you looked as tired at school that first day as you sounded when you called me. I was glad to see you’d recovered by the time we got together.
See you tonight - I have to show you the grade on my Greek exam!
Love, Eiji
