Writer's note: Based in a massive undertaking I started in April for Script Frenzy and attempted to novelize in summerwrite. It didn't happen. However, as I have this world set up, I'm going to play in it. The master list of fics (including the order) is found here.
Kibum didn't know what to think, exactly, about these people who followed his sister everywhere. Not just people, but men, just about his age, maybe a little older, and wearing the most suggestive things….
"We don't touch her," one of them said, his words accented. The other, a redhead, ignored him.
Kibum started and looked at him, wondering what the man's name was. "What?"
"You don't trust us."
"She's engaged."
"He asked us to guard her."
Kibum blinked. "What?"
The man sat down - the movement sensuous, smooth - and Kibum followed his example, not entirely sure why, feeling clunky and clumsy. "Choi-sshi. He's had someone already try to kill him. When they got engaged, he asked us to watch her."
Kibum just stared. "Okay, first off, what's your name, and second, watch her?"
The other man smiled. "Geng is my name. And yes. Guard her. Keep her safe."
"How… can you do that?" It made no sense.
Geng merely smiled. "We can. And we will."
Nothing he asked would make Geng - older, certainly - explain himself, and finally, the redhead glared at him. "We can, or Choi-sshi would never have assigned us to her."
"HeeChul," Geng reproved gently, and the redhead huffed and went back to ignoring Kibum. "He's right," Geng said, looking back at Kibum, then stood as Boa came into the room. She gave Kibum a kiss on the cheek and swept out, the two of them with her.
And he had to accept that.
