The past week, I've done some deep diving into space. Specifically, what living in space would look like, and some of the forms a space colony (not station) might take. I think I've figured it all, and then... I got a new idea, so maybe I'll work on that.
Anyway, so there's that - I'm doing more research for this ridiculous rewrite than I ever did for my original stuff! Which is just... weird.
So I'm leaning about O'Neil cylinders, and Lagrange Points (which means "Upon a Fiery Steed" might actually make more sense, so I need to read that again), and all sorts of interesting things. There's probably more I could look up, but for now, this is enough.
I have a TON of books from the library, so this weekend, I'm going to do a read-a-thon, as much as I can, anyway. I have a couple of audio books, and a pile of books to read. So I'll go and listen to the books while I do laundry, and then settle in and read.
So, of course, I'm going to write, also. Because that needs to be done. And maybe do the dishes. I don't know. I have a lot to work on, and none of it sounds good. Hey, pandemic, right? It's nice enough I might go sit with my book on the porch and read out there.
So, yeah, I'm almost caught up to where I need to be, so I can spend some time on writing, and some on outlining, and maybe get something done today. Here's hoping.
