So I'm going to start this thing up again...
but I can't let it become another distraction from summer reading. MUST READ.
I am thoroughly convinced that the teachers at my school do not understand the concept of a "holiday". We always have work. Always. All work and no play makes St. Martin's a dull and tired place!
So far I am really loving Mrs. Dalloway. I know Stephanie was not too enthused but I love Virginia Woolf's style! It's brilliant and beautiful and it just rolls of the tongue-- or the mind. This novel seems a work of sheer genius! Of course, I am only on page 13. My opinions might change.
The Inheritors is a completely different story. I have mixed feelings. I really can't seem to squeeze enough out of it for these four essays, which is not good, and furthermore I feel it's a slow read. It's not very interesting until the end. And it may be deep and provocative and original but if it's not going to be very interesting, it's not going to enlighten many people. I don't know, it just saddens me. Usually I enjoy most books. This one just stresses me out.

Oh, I did a tempo run today! 4 miles today, 2 tempo together. Splits: 9:04 and 8:48. Go me!
