Taking care of buisness!
My post was just going to be about coffee (see below), but then I just got the news that Pat Morita died.
LOS ANGELES -- Actor Pat Morita, whose portrayal of the wise and dry-witted Mr. Miyagi in "The Karate Kid" earned him an Oscar nomination, has died. He was 73.
Morita died Thursday at his home in Las Vegas of natural causes, said his wife of 12 years, Evelyn. She said in a statement that her husband, who first rose to fame with a role on "Happy Days," had "dedicated his entire life to acting and comedy."
Figured I should let you all know. We all kinda grew up with those Karate Kid movies, and who can forget his memorable role as Arnold on Happy Days? Actually, I think I saw the ones with Al more.. but either way. Looking over his IMDB, Morita had a pretty hefty list of work under his belt. He was even in a Lamb Chop's Play Along special (one of my personal favourites of childhood past).
Alright, now not to be insensitive.. but back to the original topic of my post:
Does anyone want to take me to Dennys/IHOP and get me some unlimited coffee?
It's maybe $2 but honest to g-d, I can't spend one more red cent for another couple weeks (this is exactly what I get for being a boozehound).
Really, though. Anyone. Leave me a message. I'll be home all day and i'm sure eventually i'll need all the energy that those 3-5 cups of coffee can get me. :)
PS. This year, everyone's getting baked goods or nicaraguan memorabilia for Christmas. Just letting you know in advance.
And hey, there might even be a few people i'll send a gift via snailmail! Gosh, i'm nice.
(Or am I just in it for the coffee?)
