I don't think it necessarily would. And who say it is gone for good? I think any of us who have been here for more than a few months know the Malnosso like to keep us guessing.

Yes, it could be to make us complacent and then when we least expect it a bunch more New Feathers will arrive.

I disagree that the lack for even a time will cause this place to stagnate, however. It will only stagnate if the residents allow it to. With how many troublemakers exist, that seems like it won't happen.
