[Rooftop]Ford leaves the note on their bed next to the paper where he and Eddie had circled some apartment options. He makes sure to leave said note while Eddie is in the shower. A part of him regrets the offer to shower with Eddie but he's all about the surprise tonight and if he doesn't leave now he won't actually have time ( Read more... )

Eddie was a little surprised to find the note. He had been wondering where Ford was after he had left but he had taken his time to get ready and then look over the newspaper.

Glancing at the note, he arched a brow curiously before moving to find his jacket so that he could pull it on. He got his boots on as well, wondering what it was that Ford was up to on the roof.

When he got to the roof, he let himself through the door and then stopped at the scene that Ford had put together. The corners of his mouth twitch a little as he walks close, "Well, what's going on?"

"So, I was going to call you and tell you some meteor shower or something or another was going to happen to get you to come up here but that seemed too elaborate and I didn't grab my cell phone and a sham phone call coupled with a note just seemed like I was trying too hard." He smiled, rubbing his hands together because it was colder then he thought it would be.

"But, what's going on is, I haven't gotten out of that hotel room in two weeks and nobody comes up on the roof and -- I thought it was a good idea." He said, smiling.

Eddie let out a deep chuckle as he glanced at the sky and then looked back at Ford, "The note worked just fine. Could have even just told me to meet you up here at a certain time, that would have worked." Ford didn't need to do elaborate things to get him to go anywhere as was obvious by the fact that he had followed the blond guy all the way to New York without knowing if it would mean they would get back together.

"So we're having a picnic or something?" He glanced at the stuff that Ford had laid out and smiled a little more.

"Yeah, but what fun is that," Ford asked before turning towards his set-up. "Kind-of? We already ate so there's wine - and if wine makes a picnic then yeah, we're having a very...cold picnic," he admitted nodding. "It occurs to me I should think ideas like this through."

Eddie chuckled, nodding as he kept his hands in his pockets, "It is kind of chilly. Isn't there anywhere warmer that we could go? I mean, it's nice up here and all but...brrr." He shivered a little for emphasis.

"Yeah," he said, looking up. Well, the community he did join had specified a day out of a rooftop. Well, Ford had gotten Eddie out on the roof - during the day. Out and day. Yeah, Ford could move.

"...Help me put these back in the bag because your boyfriend's crazy," he said, not thinking, crouching down and starting to fold the one blanket.

Eddie was surprised, so much so that he actually stood there for a moment just watching Ford as he crouched down and started folding the blanket. The corner of his mouth twitched as he took a little step closer.

"Boyfriend, huh?" He asked, trying to be calm but he couldn't help sort of feeling happy about that development.

It had slipped. Ford hadn't known he was thinking that. This had not been at the forefront of his mind. But they had spent three weeks together now. And Ford wasn't planning on making his escape anytime soon or at all. Not at all.

So, in a way, it felt good for it to slip. But, in another, Ford freaked out not wanting to scare his potential...

Ford took a moment, a breath escaping but no words.

"I can take it back," he said, looking down. "But I don't want to."

Eddie shook his head a little bit as he looked at Ford, not freaked out at all. Actually, he was rather comfortable with the whole thing.

"No, no taking it back." He cleared his throat a little, "I kind of thought I'd always be that guy, you know?" He shrugged a little.

Being called boyfriend was a nice thing.

"What guy," he asked, the corner of his mouth now upturned. No taking it back. Fine. Ford would definitely not take it back. Definitely not. No way, no how. He might actually use it more often. That was how not taking it back he would -- not take it back.

"That guy that just sort of hangs around." He chuckled. He was good with the not taking back, very good. If it got used more often, he was fine with that too because then it meant that Ford was beginning to accept things between them which could never be viewed as bad.

"No, you've...never been that guy, Eddie," he said, moving in for a quick kiss before putting the rest of the make-shift picnic back into the bag. He shivered, zipping it up before standing. "As my boyfriend, it is now your job to relocate us to where we would be more comfortable -- less nippy," he said with a smile.

"I didn't always know that." Murmurs before leaning in for a quick kiss, smirking just a little bit. Then he considers it for a moment because there are a few options, "I'd say a hot tub or whatever. Remember how quick it took to get drunk drinking those wine coolers in the hot tub at Joe's?" He chuckles, heading for the door so that they can head back inside.

"I know," Ford replied. "But now you know. I'm not letting you go, Forbes," he added, getting a grasp of Eddie's shirt. "Hot tub?" he asked with an eyebrow raise. "Well, we could use the hotel's hot tub -- though, you know, PG-wise until tonight," he grinned, mischievously. "But, I'm good with a hot tub."

"And yeah, I remember. We may have had separate dates at the time but you gave me a few longing looks. Drunken, but longing," he added, smirking.

"Think I all ready proved that I'm not going anywhere." He smirked as Ford grabbed his jacket and then chuckled, "But why? I mean, it doesn't look weird if one guy sits on another guy's lap, right?" Yes, they both knew they'd get reactions which was why he was joking at the moment.

"I was not longing." He huffed, punching his shoulder very lightly. Yes, some things don't change.

"Not at all weird, no," he said with a shrug and a laugh. "But, I also don't want to get kicked out of the hotel before we find an apartment."

Ford rubbed his shoulder, an amused look on his face. "Fine, you were shorting."
