Lonely is as lonely does

I do enjoy a good while of being alone. Probably because on campus it's hard to truly be alone, what with 3 roomies and 21,999 other students here. Anywhere that you go, you will find people. Life goes on at school. Sure, it's a different life than we have lived before or will live again, but it's a life. We still eat, we still play, we definitely work (or we fail), we still have to do the dishes.

I see all sorts of people every day, but all of them are older than 17 and most of them are younger than 25. Are we killing ourselves here at school? Am I killing myself? What with my loans, working, trying hard not to fail class, trying to live up to the expectations of those in intervarsity. I let down my friends and family by forgetting to return calls/emails. There are days that I 'forget' or 'just don't have time' or 'am too tired' to spend time with God!

We don't sleep. We don't have time for our friends or for anything outside of certain set activities. I wake up on Monday and I know the play-by-play of what I will be doing each hour until Wednesday night. I know that I won't have freetime at all until Wednesday afternoon, unless I want to sleep less.

What do normal people do with their Saturdays?
