Ennis' stoic poses don't seem so foreign, neither do Jack's flights of poetic romanticism. I've seen all those 1975 Wyoming towns in early millennium Texas. The blood on that cotton shirt was the blood and splintered wood all over that Pfleugerville suburb.
so what have you really done today except remind yourself that nothing seems to make you feel any better?
yes this could change, but the gaps in between, the vacant days spent in this intolerable waiting room.
