Their Kill VS adopt ratio is pretty staggering. This organization gets federal money? SICK!

Planned Parenthood continually tries to downplay how much of their total “business” per year is performing abortions. One of the ways they try to accomplish this is by mentioning how many adoptions and prenatal services they provide. I think this graphic helps put their claims into context (2008 is the most recent year they’ve reported the number of abortions, adoptions and prenatal services performed):

The number of abortions provide by Planned Parenthood has increased from 305,310 in 2007 to 324,008 in 2008 while adoption referrals are down to 2,405 in 2008 from 4,912 in 2007. Their factsheet also reveals that the number of prenatal clients dropped from 10,914 in 2007 to 9,433 in 2008.

Here is a pie chart to show what PP has done in the most recent year (2008):

In other words, 96.3% of Planned Parenthood’s services to women in 2008 were abortions, and the other 3.7% were adoptions and prenatal care (I’m not a math major so someone is welcome to review my calculations).

Keep these charts in mind the next time someone tries to tell you that Planned Parenthood clinics also promote adoption and provide prenatal services.
