the past few weeks - holidays
the past few weeks have been tons of fun! troy has had a lot of time off work and we've all been spending a lot of that time just hanging out together. our three christmas celebrations were fabulous! we've put a lot of time and work into the house. i did a 6 hour deep clean in the kitchen (with still more to do!), troy is in the middle of painting the main wall a brick red. he's motivated to finish and get working on the rest of the house soon!
fynn still talks mostly about football (as i'm typing in fact!) but occasionally airplanes (mostly WWI and WWII). his favorite activity is playing video games.....but he talks about playing soccer so we're hoping to get him on a team at the y soon.
clover has been in a helping mood lately. she helps daddy make french toast sometimes. she loves us to give her a task (like wiping down the baseboards or vacuum the hard floors). she "helps" audrey a lot, though it usually ends in audrey being angry because clover has misinterpreted audrey's request.
audrey is signing and talking more and more. she's using the potty more often. she loves taking baths, but never stays in more than 10 minutes. seems that her favorite thing to do is take off and put on clothes....hers or clovers....all day long! by the end of the day i often have to sort through a large pile of clothes to determine what is clean and what is dirty, refold it, and put it all away. it's exhausting, but totally worth it when she gets excited about dresses and she grabs the end of the dress, says "dress!" and twirls around.
