So much for that posting more often thing...
So, what have I been up to?
Work. A lot of it. I am now officially a Closing Officer, and will take my license test sometime this spring. I still do just about everything there is to be done in the office. With no pay raise.
It seems to be the pattern for my careers. Step into industry, start doing well, industry collapses upon itself, wages stay stagnant. Frustrating.
Otherwise, I've been writing (creatively!) again, and that feels good. When I first played around with writing, I got good responses in contests and such. I think that screwed me up. I heard praise, and immediately thought everything I wrote had to be perfect. Of course it never was. So eventually, I stopped. My plan is to finish a "for me" story, and send it out to get rejected. I want to be rejected. So I will prove to myself that I can still do this for fun, and not have to worry about rejection. I'll have experienced it, and lived.
