“Prepare to have your ass kicked,” Anna said with a smirk as she leaned on her pool cue slightly. Flack just glanced up at her with a quick grin, before continuing to rack the balls.

“Just because you beat Messer doesn’t mean you’re going to beat me,” he said, giving her a slight look. “He just likes to think he’s better than me at pool.” That statement was probably more bravado than anything else. Probably. He could tell that Anna was watching him, trying to get in his head and figure out what his move was going to be, but he wasn’t going to push it. He just gently lifted the triangle up off the table, and then moved closer to her, brushing against her as he went to put it back on the shelf.

“I wouldn’t be so confident, Don,” she said with a nod, watching him as he moved. “You haven’t played me either-all you know is that I beat Messer.”

“There are two things I know about this game,” Flack said with a smirk as he turned to face her, pinning her between him and the pool table. “One, pool is just as much about luck as it is about skill.”

“Uh-huh,” Anna nodded. “And what’s the second one?”

He smirked at her for a minute, before leaning in to kiss her lightly. She leaned in closer to him as he did, and he moved a hand to cup the side of her face lightly, brushing his thumb against the side of her face lightly. When he pulled back from the kiss, he gave her a small smirk. “You break.”

“That’s cheating,” she murmured as he moved away from her, giving her room to go break. He just shrugged as he leaned against the table, before looking over in her direction.

“Maybe,” he said with a shrug. “Guess we’ll just have to see how the game goes, won’t we?”

Anna looked up at him as she lined up the shot, before smirking. “Guess we will.”
