Ehhh... it was just me being an idiot. [His face goes a little scarlet and he rests a cheek in one of his hands embarrassedly.] Should've just used paper to begin with...
[Well. Kiriko won't get a response from Rapunzel but he'll get a knock on the door and an apple pie still warm in front of it. He'll be lucky to catch the blonde hair darting around the corner down the stairs. Happy birthday?]

[dskfhsklfh awww. This undue act of kindness really hits home. He tries calling out to whoever it might be, but they're just gone, it seems. He looks at the gift uncertainly, wondering if it would be okay to accept if he didn't get a chance to say thank you.
But he takes it inside and sets it down, letting the smell of hot apple pie waft through the room for awhile. For some reason, he feels... a little sad... maybe a little homesick. He sets his head down and thinks for a little until the pie cools completely. Once it does, he cuts a piece for himself, and setting it aside, begins to knock on a few apartment doors, offering the rest to share.]
[Rapunzel just thought that he should at least have a present if he didn't want folks making comment on the letter itself. It had taken her a while to find Kiriko's doorplate, but in that time the sticky-event had worn off so she could leave it. And he'll have to go all the way down to the second floor to find Rapunzel in 206. She opens the door with oven mitts stuck on her hands and the tell tale smells of apple pie in her room.]

..!
[HE SMELLS THAT PIE. With a bit of a gasp, Kiriko gives a small, decidedly Japanese-like bow. Which might look a little weird coming from a six-foot-tall American soldier.]
You! Thanks!
[He had blurted out what he thought so immediately, it might have come off as a little blunt. He corrects himself.]
Er, I mean, thank you so much. You're the one who made this, right? I really appreciate it.

[He looks at the text on the screen a bit curiously. There are people who didn't know what a birthday was? Hm, maybe they were still very young..]
Not really lonely. Just worried. [He was usually okay with being on his own, but..]
You don't know what a birthday is? It's the day of the year you were born, and you count another year each time it comes around again. It's how you know how old you are...
[Yorda is puzzling over the birthday thing. She's not entirely sure how to measure her age as on one hand she could be impossibly old. On the other, she is barely a newborn.]

[He looks the screen as if that gives him an idea.]

[And she hasn't fiddle around with enough PDAs to attempt it.]

[Erm, he would have just ripped that thing apart had he not been warned. Crisis averted..?]
...I guess it is a little futuristic compared to what I am used to. Anyone tried messing with it yet?
