Right now I'm sitting on the bed, half surfing the web and half listening to NPR (old interview with George Carlin...so sad he passed away).
naiad8's birthday dinner went great, the only problem being the lobsters were a bit undercooked. I also got WAY too much lobster, but it looks like we'll get a couple more meals out of them. We're already planning lobster rolls tomorrow, and lobster bisque later.
Ruffian got a haircut today. He's so cute! Well, he was cute when he was scruffy, but he's less smelly now.
I've been working on the Aztec syllabary for AncientScripts and I discovered that the sign for the syllable "chi" is a bowl of chian seeds. This chian turns out to be called chia in English, as in Chia Pet! Turns out that chia is a plant of the salvia, or sage, family. It was actually the fifth most-common foodstuff in Prehispanic Central Mexico, but became at the brink of extinction after the Conquest. Anyway, it's just an interest chain of facts.
OK, it's bed time for Alex.
