I have to say I do have a slight obsession with cookware, and this is going to be great for doing all sorts of braising. In fact, I'm going to make paella tomorrow with this. I think it should work.
I'm also getting a new laptop as a present to myself because my current one is going to die without any notice. It's 5 years old, got a broken hinge, cracked case held together with duct tape and no rubber feet, is perennially out of disk space, and emits an extremely annoying high-pitch whine from something that's unhappy. Anyway, it's actually a pretty good time to get a new computer as a lot of places are having sales. I'll probably just do Dell again because by now I know how to fix them with my eyes closed. Anyway, this Inspiron 8600 of mine survives being dropped and having water spilled on it, so it's actually fairly sturdy. So I actually have some good past experience with Dell.
