A friend (mr. nursing runner up 2003 aka irreg santos) told me that first and foremost what you really need to have to able to work here is a completed VISA SCREEN. Sa totoo lang, hindi ko alam kung ano to, pero ang sabi niya sa kin SUNDAN ANG VISA SCREEN.
This is true even if you have a TOURIST VISA because this visa screen would change your tourist status to a working status. Kaya mas maganda na tapusin din ang mga exam jan sa Pinas (IELTS and NCLEX, some states like NY need CGFNS for NCLEX) bago pumunta dito para di magkaproblema yung VISA SCREEN.
Ang sabi din sa kin, may mga ipapapirma pa sa PRC na mga papers e alam niyo naman ang PRC matagal tagal magrelease.
Sabi ni irreg mahabang process yan, mga sampung papeles daw kaya maganda ng simulan niyo na ng maaga kahit wala pa mga eligibility niyo. Hindi naman necessary na ipasa na muna yung mga exams bago kayo makaapply niyan, pwedeng isubmit niyo na yung mga papeles na meron na kayo habang nagaantay for NCLEX or IELTS. And you can check the status of your files in the internet. Ang mahal nga lang daw e ang mailing lalo na pag hiwahiwalay isinubmit ang requirements.
I don't know if I'm making any sense. Kasi Irreg said that it's kind of useless to have pass the exams if you're not legally qualified to work here anyway.
