State of the muse
Especially with the conclusion of Series 8.
So, the incredibly random S8 is over. And, unsurprisingly, the final episode was the best. Lucas/Ros banter, plenty of Lucas angst...
But where does it leave the pup?
Well, for hearts_andminds, exactly where he is. The sole reason I would ever canon update him there is if Martha leaves - which I'm hoping won't be for a while! He'll have things to deal with though, if I plot with certain people...
For canon prompts... well I'll have to deal with the whole Lucas/Sarah situation at some point, though now she's dead I'm happier to deal with it. As for the cliffhanger ending (my gut feeling is Ros died, Lucas survived)... that's going to be interesting. How I deal with is depends a lot on if we get an announcement about Season 9. If we do, I'll probably keep it general. If that was the end of Spooks (which is less likely), AU time!
Buffy!verse will ignore the whole Sarah issue within reason - she works far better as pure CIA there.
For random rp encounters, he's likely to be from around Ep 2, when he was at his best, before the whole affair with Sarah, and his dumbing down.
And so onto what plans I have. I want to explore post Sugarhorse, because that was not dealt with adequately in my opinion. There's the whole what happened to Ben and Connie, and the repercussions of Harry being kidnapped. Plus the experiences of Ruth coming back to the Grid, something Lucas did - there's a whole lot of exploring there.
I want to create a What If!verse, because they are always fun. What if Lucas did turn in Russia, become rogue, or a double agent? If I can work something out, it can cross over with Alias, with Julian Sark's mun. I just need a chance to think about it, once I've got a pile of fic I have left to write done. I think it would be interesting to explore.
Other than that, I'm open to ideas! He's chatty, he's not going anywhere.
