100 Things: Villians I Adore: Regina Mills(Evil Queen)

So if you're not watching Once Upon A Time [OUAT] you still have time to get caught up. And you've no doubt will find that Regina Mills (a.k.a. The Evil Queen) is a great villain.

Regina's a great villain due to the fact that she's cunning, powerful with just a bit of cray-cray. Despite that she's still got room to grow. I'm a fan of not just our heroes growing, but our villains too. Regina is just the right kind of evil, sarcastic, conflicted and magical. Even without magic she's got that air of authority. Sounds like someone else on this list...you might be right.

Regina's not evil or badness sake. She cares, mostly about her son Henry. And she will do anything to keep him safe. While she buts heads with the Charmings, Emma included it's always bound to be interesting. She's not above doing right, and tries for Henry, but she's not above doing the dirty work if she must to get things accomplished. Her heart may be small and black, but some times it swells to three sizes to big. It just when she gets a taste of happiness that somehow someone makes her regret opeing herself up for another person.

Lana Parrilla does such a great job at her role that I don't know if I should slap her or fall to my knees and swear allegiance to her. I might possibly do both. She excels at the role. It might not be the same with another actress breathing life into Regina. Lana puts her own take on it and makes you want to hate her. Parrilla also makes the character well rounded making the fans understand why she is the way that she is without doing a disservice to her power and anger. She brings evil, but does it with levels and details that are often times given to the hero. Plus her wardrobe is bad ass! I mean if I was going to be a evil queen, I'd be all in Regina's wardrobe. Girl's got taste!
