Eight onion domes, with Russian crosses on his back - each one depicting a year in prison.
Dum Spiro Spero across his shoulders - While I live, I hope (the actual translation from Latin is 'While I breathe, I hope', but we can claim poetic license here).
Gnothi Seauton on his lower abdomen - Know thyself.
On his chest, a depiction of William Blake's etching '
Ancient of Days'. Lucas identifies with Blake, because he distrusts systems.
Inside left wrist
five dots, in same design as this. "I will not forget prison."
Russian writing down his left arm - See nothing, hear nothing and say nothing to anyone.
Other tattoos - Omerta - Silence, MNP - Peace (on right inside wrist).
All Lucas' tattoos are obviously Russian prison tattoos to anyone who knows - a distinct bluish colour and slightly blurred because of the lack of instruments to draw fine lines. The ink for them is often created from burning the heel of a shoe and mixing the soot with urine, and injected into the skin utilizing a sharpened guitar string attached to an electric shaver.
