more carnitas

The other day, I sat down to make a grocery list for this week. I looked at a lot of recipes, but none of them sounded appealing. I even looked at some old favorites but still was not enticed by any of them. All I could think about was carnitas. Nothing sounded good in comparison. I was resistant to the idea of making carnitas two weeks in a row, but the idea had a hold of me and wouldn't let go. So I succumbed.

This picture shows everything that would go into the carnitas. The picture didn't turn out well, but it's too late to take another since I dumped everything in the casserole and it's now sitting in the fridge. Unfortunately, my garlic was bad again, so I had to use powder like last time. I used 1 cup of orange juice, 3/4 cup of lime juice and 4.5 pounds of pork butt. Hopefully this ratio works. I did not record the amount of juices I used last time, so I kind of had to guess this time. If it works this time, I will have record of what to use for next time.
