butter pecan cookies

I took a break from studying to make some cookies since I've been wanting sweets after dinner lately. Instead of making the usual chocolate chip cookies, I opted for these butter pecan cookies from Simply Recipes. I had pecans in the pantry, and though they were technically expired, I used them anyway.

This recipe is really easy and only uses a few ingredients. But it only makes 12 cookies, so it's not a sharing recipe unless you modify it. Also, the instructions say to bake till they are golden brown, but I just baked them for 15 minutes because the picture shows that they are pretty light-colored. These cookies are just OK, but that might be because they aren't the texture that I like (I'd forgotten that butter pecan cookies are the crunchy/crumbly kind of cookie). And they aren't sweet, so my sweet-tooth is still not satisfied.
