I'm totally in love with this kind of stylized, angular animation that manages to be cartoony and realistic all at the same time. Sure's a shame that this animated short is going 3-D, though, I thought it seemed really promising as a 2-D piece. Oh well, it looks good anyways.
Jianjun, looking mighty ugly (his hair gave me all sorts of shit and it still turned out crappy). Kind of an embarrassingly simple picture, but it was just an experiment. Done in Photoshop with the polygonal lasso and mouse.

I've had like ten billion new character ideas popping up in my brainbox lately but I'm too lazy to figure out what to do with them on my own, and collaborating with people is a lot more fun anyhow.
