TVD - Homecoming
Hey flist who share my love of TVD with me, what did you think of last night's episode? I can't believe we have almost two months to wait before the next episode!
So on Homecoming, here's a few of my thoughts (I don't have the courage to write a real review, I know, I'm too lazy):
-Damon/Elena!!! I loved them so much in this episode, every scenes were perfect and showed how much their friendship/relationship evolved. First, there was this scene when Damon asks if Elena trusts him and she answered yes with no hesitation. The scene when Damon comforted Elena after she daggered poor Rebekah was sweet and full of meaning too when Elena said humanity was her weakness.
And then THE scene! This scene is very pivotale in the show and Damon/Elena relationship because Elena's is letting go of Stefan and she's the one telling Damon to do it. It's very important that it comes from her. Slowly, she's getting ready to face her feelings for Damon (I know nothing concrete will happen for some time but still).
The writers choose a slow pace with their relationship and it makes me think that damon and Elena will be endgame, because they would have built a strong, trusted friendship before.
- I didn't ship them before (mostly because Stefan wasn't a very interesting character for me) but since this epi, I'm rooting for Stefan/Katherine. That scene in the car is as much important for them than the Damon/Elena's one. We actually learned a lot:
1. Katherine did loved both brother, she saved Damon partly for that reason and because she knew it would break Stefan when he'll have his humanity back.
2. Stefan doesn't want to go back to Saint Stefan and that's why I think he might get together with Katherine in the future. Saint Stefan couldn't be with Katherine because he had too many morals but after ripper Stefan (I think he's past the phase) doesn't have these scruples and he would be perfect to Katherine.
Small things:
- Bonnie telling Jeremy fell in love with a ghost... I didn't fell in love he was already in love with Anna, way before he was with Bonnie.
- Rebekah is breaking my heart! I hope she'll be back because she has potential and I would like to more of her.
- Tyler /Caroline... I don't really care about them, I like Caroline better with Matt but I'm afraid her breaking up with Tyler is going to bring him other the edge and fully siding with Klaus.
- Where was Alaric???? You want me to believe that Damon and Elena would put together a plan to kill Klaus and not involve Alaric?
- Now that Stefan has the original family, I want to him to wake up Elijah!
Last but not least, My Morning Jacket!!! I love this band, I've listened to them for years now and I was really surprised and happy to see a band like them on a TV show and TVD at that!!
I certainly missed some points but this show is crazy and there is so much happening in one episode.
