Corrientes closed today (Saturday, July 9)

Dear tango friends, milonga at Corrientes will be definitely closed today. I made this picture this afternoon, than asked police officer you can see there if there is any chance this building in front will open for public tonight. Unfortunately not. If you do need to go dance tango tonight in London - try the Crypt in Farringdon instead. I know, I know, but still...

It is those little things that really get to you. I wanted to exchange some more pounds to euros for my trip to tango festival in Sitges. Went to check my favorite exchange point hundred meters North from Russel Square. Well, the little road from Brunswick Centre westwards was open, but nobody was inside the shop. A group of photographers just outside the shop was trying to capture something through the white curtain surrounding crime scene.

Later on: according to elnarged schematics of Kings-Cross disaster [1], the blast has happened in the tunnel less than 100 meters from Corrientes. Compare that with the surface map, you will see that it must have happened between Corrientes and Judd Street.
