What's this? More updates?
So... on the dental front (cause you ALL need to know) I'm doing very well and really appreciate all of the comments and inquiries I've received, either here or on IMs. You guys rock.
In other news, my mum is FINALLY flying out here to visit! The stars have aligned and she'll be coming out here the last week of February so we can take her up to San Francisco for the Chinese New Year's parade. We'll probably do other stuff, too, but that was the main incentive for getting her out here. I probably won't be able to have all of the time that she's out here off, partially because we're going to a convention the weekend before, but I can at least ask to work mornings, so we'll still have our afternoons and besides, she'll be brining her laptop, so if she has work, she may well be glad for the morning alone-time.
Can we tell that I'm a little excited about this?
Also, if I'm very good and very lucky and the usps site hasn't lied to me, I should have not one, not two, but three packages arriving today. Two of them should be the ones that mum sent over a week ago (parcel post) and the third should be Hyacynth, my Ali-corn boy. And guess whose eyes I haven't ordered yet... ah well... soon enough, I'm sure. I think I've at least decided on the color...
Now that I'm feeling a little more up to par (and very loved, because angel and para-chan brought me spiffy fabrics when they went to JoAnn's-- nothing says love like fabric remnants to a doll-clothes maker) I think that today will be a very good day for me to be productive. I'm almost done with the uber batch of msd hats that I cut ages ago, and have just about everything else that I'd pre-cut sewn together, which can mean only one thing... time for more cutting! That probably is my favorite part because so many of the patterns I'm working with allow me to mix and match colors. It's so nice that I've finally found a way for my hobbies to make a little money for me...
