You Can't Handle the Truth (about so many things) - Spoilers!

Before I launch into my deep thoughts about this week's ep of Supernatural, I want to apologize for not being around much these days.  My life has been madness lately.  I have not only the whole two job/puppy thing going on.  But I've been coughing for five weeks now (one more week, and my doc is ordering a chest x-ray [I already got an inhaler ( Read more... )

I agree with all of what you said about the boys.

One thing that bothered me, was Bobby. I giggled at his admissions but ... it didn't seem Bobby to me.
He told Ben when they came to his house that his TV didn't work so how is he watching Tori? And I think he was a little cold when it came to Sam. I know he gets Dean better and clicks with him better but he has always come across as loving both . Anyhoo that is me nit picking I'm sure.

Oh and Sam knew a beat down was coming... he knows that it is Dean's way to deal and he didn't fight back which... really kind of breaks my heart. I understand it is part of their dynamics but it still makes me sad. :(

Excited for next week though! :)

Good catch! I'd forgotten that Bobby's set had been on the fritz.

I'm not surprised that Dean is his favorite. That bond had seemed to be there earlier, like in AHBL and even last year when Bobby is trying to talk to Dean about what Sam needs to do. It's tough though isn't it--Dean is Cas' favorite and Bobby's. Who the hell does Sam get?

As for the beatdown--yeah. Sam let it happen. He never once tried to defend himself. Again, that breaks my heart. The poor guy can't catch a break.

I think Bobby only told Bobby that to get Ben out of his hair and upstairs with his mother. The TV is in the grownup section of Bobbyworld. That's how it come over to me, anyway, but who knows, really, with all these damn CATS!

I recommend http://www.theittybittykittycommittee.com/ for injections of sweetness and light as needed, by the way.

Why Sam gets the freaky Campbells that are probably only using him for their own use to do their bidding of course. *rolls eyes sarcastically at the writers* Sure wish Sammy could get some love. ;P Dean deserves love too of course, just not ALL of it. ;P

Argh. I forgot about the soup people. You just know they're bad news too. Hell, even Grandpa Soup had issues with Sam last week (and rightly so). Sam never gets any love.

Grandpa SOUP?! *dies laughing* What's with the 'Soup'?

Campbell

Like the soup.

:-)

I can't take credit for that. It's all and_ed's fault. But I like the nickname and stole it away.

Dean is Cas' favorite and Bobby's. Who the hell does Sam get? THIS.

Among many other unhappy-making things.

I'm so sorry you're not feeling well! I hope the cough and all the other insanities can be fixed easily and quickly, and am pulling for you every step of the way.

But Sam is Dean's favorite. Even Lisa said so.

Albeit in typical screwed up Winchester fashion. ;)

Sadly, that's ringing kind of hollow at the moment...

Did you watch this one? I forgot you were holding off.

Yeah, I think I might be holding off permanently at this point.

Am pretty well spoiled on the details, although I know there's always nuance in watching firsthand. It just isn't any fun anymore.

I'm glad you're still around though. I actually loved this episode, but I'm terribly easy to please.

What did you love about it?

(I will never go away, sorry to say! :) Watching the show and fandom are fortunately not mutually exclusive--erm, I mean my being in fandom isn't dependent on me watching the show). And the door is still open a smidge, but there is an awful lot to overcome).

It was like my very favorite kind of fanfiction - reminds me of something Kroki Refur might have written. It was dark, sure, but it was also emotionally raw in a way that drew me to the series in the first place.

I don't believe this is Sam's fault - even if he did succumb somehow while being tortured in Hell and make a deal.

I just loved this episode to pieces and am looking forward to watching it again tomorrow, with my husband this time. I will say that I might not be feeling this way, had I not seen next week's promo.

So glad you will never go away!
