My puppy is getting to be such a big boy! When we went to the vet on September 7th, he weighed 1 lb, 1 ounce. Today he is a whopping 2 lbs 11 oz. A veritable Colossus. ;-)
He's such a good, good kid. He is in love with Dudley. He is always trotting over to Dud, Ollie's little squirrel tail going, to give Dudley a friendly lick on the muzzle. Dud isn't quite so enamored, but they coexist quite peaceable. Just witness below.
Oliver is doing a good job with house training. He uses his box quite well during the day, and as long as I pay attention to him , he does his business outside too. I notice when he is suddenly looking distracted--a sure sign he has to go and is trying to figure out where--scoop him up and dash for the door. I'll confess--the paying attention part can be exhausting. I got home yesterday at around six and between then and Supernatural's debut at nine, we went out four times. Ollie isn't quite clear about "holding it" yet. When he needs to go, he goes. So often these trips outside are for little more than a quick squat. Still, it's keeping my floors clean so I can't complain.
Besides, how can you complain about this face (pay no attention to the woman behind the curtain)?
I also can't complain about the
SPN Reverse BB. I sat there at my computer yesterday morning, my choices already typed out and copied (ready to be pasted into an entry), waiting with bated breath for the 10:00 claim kickoff, and I got my first choice--
this! Is that stunning, or what? And what is even better? The artist, the extraordinary
petite_madame has done five more pieces. FIVE. It's just silly what a embarrassment of riches I have. My only fear is not having enough time to do them justice. The challenge only requires 5,000 words. But the story that's shaping up in my mind is longer than that (big surprise!). Posting starts October 25. Let us not forget I work two jobs, one of which requires me to basically read and prep multiple lectures for a new novel every 10 days or so.
Yikes!
Still, I'm awfully excited about this. Things are going well. I hope my flist can say the same.
