Via Salon's
Broadsheet column, I took the
Using Your Browser History to Estimate Gender challenge and was amused at the results:
Likelihood of you being FEMALE is 8%
Likelihood of you being MALE is 92%
Bzzt! Wrong answer, overly ambitious programmer!
Site and M/F ratio
google.com 0.98 M/F
irs.gov 0.79 M/F
google.ca 1.33 M/F
fanfiction.net 0.65 M/F
bugmenot.com 2.03 M/F
jezebel.com 1.02 M/F
So women are slightly more likely to use google.com than men, but not at all for google.ca; The IRS website skews female. FF.net is no surprise but jezebel was a big one. And the single highest skewing male site on my list was bugmenot.
At least I didn't get as high a male probability as the Broadsheet columnist -- her result was 99%!
So tell me, dear friends, what were your results?
