Liberation!

I finally finished all the marking for my early medieval course. It wasn't burnout so much as lack of time: I begged off of the lunch out with candidate when car space was at a premium but was secretly glad since it gave me enough time to finish the marking.

Tomorrow's schedule is still frantically busy: get through the rest of the scholarship paperwork and send that out (along with teaching two classes, attending a meeting and eldest's "student-led conference" to show off her schoolwork). But no more of (that!) grading to do, at least!

If I work on that scholarship paperwork tonight, I hope to squeeze in an hour or so of recreational writing. I want to write something for fun and not purely academic.

I have seen nothing of interest on television excepting for this weekend's Rome: Death Mask. Servilia's dead, yayz! Antony married Octavia, hee! Octavian's feeling clever! Agrippa's sad, oh noes! Timon's sad, too! So's Jocasta! Posca's smart! Pullo's stupid! Vorenus is oblivious! Eirene's in trouble! Memmio's scum! Gaia, too! Who did I miss? I don't know but I still love the show.
