LJ tech headaches

Why, oh why, is my friends-list not functioning properly? Why are some friends' posts no longer showing up on my friends list? Nothing has changed on my settings but I can't see ysrith's entries unless I click through to her journal and now I'm paranoid that the same thing is happening with other of my friends.

Seemingly no one can see my posts. greycoupon is having the same problem.

So do I! This is really weird. Even for LJ.

back dating function was blocking all the posts from showing up on the f-list. I have no idea why. I have removed it and any new posts should start showing up, but the older ones still are not

If it's just one person, it's probably her/his settings somehow, not yours...

It's only one person that I know of and we think we've figured out the issue (had a future-dated post for "friends only" notice and that was causing the LJ interface to tell her to backdate all her subsequent posts) but I'm still left scratching my head over the issue (especially since I have something of the sort, myself, and LJ's never done anything like this for me).

Very same problem, but then, you've already determined that it wasn't you.

I just put up two posts with future dates this morning, so that people who hit my LJ only for the fic don't have to slog through everything else and so that I can keep track of my fannish things to do. Now I'm worried no one is going to see my other posts when I post them. :(

It is the same thing. greycoupon mentioned she couldn't see you either, and now that I checked same thing.

What is going on with it?

About five days of posts went missing from my f-list last week. I had to go into the address line and tweak to get them to show. My totally bogus guess is that there is some corruption in the database. I don't so much mind, as long as the locks stay solid -- I can do workarounds even if they are difficult.

Yes, I want my friends-lock to work and my posts to work. Hmmmm.

I've had similar problems off and on for the past few weeks. I think it may be related to LJ's general system administration and implementation of LJ Talk. Other than those possibilities I have no clue. :)
