Come on, you didn't think this would end with my last post, did you?

Of course you didn't. You know me better than that.

My intent with this post is thus:

I mentioned this in the last one, but I will go over it in more detail here. I said that it was perhaps not surprising or ironic that asingulargirl and sutlers were the ones who decided to be the fandom quality ( Read more... )

Why does anyone do anything? That was my reason.

That is such a weird response, Vel! Where are you coming from?

One could equally question why you'd care, but I won't, simply because it seems to me that is the sort of thing that is futile to answer. Do you have to understand why he cares, to see that he does? I mean-- I care about Scar, but I kind of bristle at the idea that I am required to have a reason why. Not everything has reasons, and when it comes to why people feel the way they do, that is often unanswerable.

My guess is that you are being critical of what Anax is doing here. But if that is the case, why not come out and just say so?

In passing, I must say... Yeah, that's true that many are governed by non-reasons. Even now it's hard to explain it.

Maybe that's a side-topic, but I'm trying to stay out of everything. D: I hope no more throats are slit over this.

My non-reasons are as numerous as the stars, and as deep as the sea!

Everyone lives with the black box that is their own brain. The easiest way to be manipulated by forces outside of your control is to rest easy in the delusion that you have complete control over every response you ever make. Awareness that there cannot always be awareness is one of the first steps towards a true understanding of self.
