At Work...

Well, here I am at 4:08am working at NA. I don’t have access to the internet here which I think it’s a MAJOR BUMMER, but I thought I’d type away anyway and then just copy and paste into my live journal. ;o) I’m listening to WOW CHRISTMAS and right now the particular song that is playing is O Holy Night interpreted by Barlow Girl. This song shakes me to the core. It’s actually the song that I’ve been practicing with my vocal coach. The lyrics and the music just fascinate me and I sing it from the inner most bottom of my heart. I give myself entirely to God in complete surrender, worship, and gratitude when I sing it. I don’t think there are appropriate words that can actually correctly describe the magnitude and degree to which I highly like this song. Hmmm, I just like it to a superlative degree and besides worshiping GOD with my entire being all I can say is … SOLI DEO GLORIA!!! L O V E L Y. :o) I also really like the way Toby Mac interprets O come all ye faithful, and the way Chris Tomlin interprets Angels we have heard on high, and the way Point Of Grace interprets Jingle bell rock. Well, come to think about it, I really enjoy the entire CD. :o)

Tonight I’ve been doing school work. I finished correcting the narrative writing prompt I gave my students of themes 1 & 2 of our language arts program. We score on a four point rubric, four being challenge level and one being far below grade level. Most of my students are a one. I’m going to take it positively and say it’s all good because writing is the most difficult skill human beings acquire when it comes to language arts. We first learn to speak, then to read, and then to write. And, it has to be noted that the vast majority of my students have English as a second language and there are sounds that don’t exist in other languages, and some of this kids don’t have the support at home that native English speakers do because their parents don’t speak the language and can’t help them. Besides, we are only at the beginning of the school year. There is room for growth, and at the end of the school year by theme 10 my little people will be able to see their growth and be motivated by it to persevere in their academic endeavors. Amen.

I also made the homework cover page for the homework packet for next week. Now all I have to do is correct the ELD assessment and finish the SST papers for the students that are possible retention candidates. So, hopefully tonight when I come back I’ll have time to watch movies and relax. I have not watched movies here for a while and there are two I want to see. :o) OK I’m going back to my school work. Bye. Besitos.
