I never really understood what people meant by zoning out when someone is talking to you, but recently I COMPLETELY get it. Is it just me or are most people having the most boring inane conversations ever? For some reason, I don't even try to follow the conversation train, usually meaning I miss the imortant stuff. But lately it feels like the conversations make my brain liquify in my head and run out of my ears. It doesn't help that Hollister is making me partially deaf in both ears.
I miss my (ex?) best friend. I shall digress on this for a few minutes. I've never been good with telling people how I feel, or doing it in a direct manner. So, I'm mad at her but she doesn't know I'm mad at her. Does that make any sense? Regardless, she has changed for the worse and she keeps changing into someone I don't even know. I know it's silly and wishful thinking to want the old her back, but why does she have to act so out of control all the time? Here's a recap of the recent events that have defined out sprialing-out-of-control friendship:
1. She called ME and talked for like 4.5 seconds and said she would call me back in a few minutes. That was three weeks ago and she hasn't called since.
2. She didn't invite me to her birthday party. (That sounds so third grade but we are supposed to be best friends!)
3. Her drinking problem.
4. Her boyfriend, then ex-boyfriend, then boyfriend, then ex-boyfriend who is the epitome of nasty and gross.
5. Her lying that she has to work everytime we're supposed to hang out.
6. Ditching me to go to the basketball game.
7. We haven't hung out since we went to see Juno over a month an a half ago.
8. Basically every time she say's she'll call so we can hang out and doesn't.
Is that a comprehensive enough list? I feel like I'm asking more questions than actually giving answers. Story of my life.
I was dead tired last night because I've been working everyday this week. I couldn't fall asleep though. I keep wondering if it's possible to find a semi-decent looking, straight edge, smart, nice boy. Is that too much to ask? This kid at work is really, really, hott, however, he drinks a lot. I just want someone who understands that straight-edge fun is the best kind of fun because it's cheap, easy, no messy side effects, and you can remember it in the morning.
Please let me know that there is someone out there that can empathize with me.
lovelovelove,
Samantha
